Ski Week: Fashions for the Slope
Consistently ranked # 1 on the East Coast is Tremblant, Quebec. It is the highest peak in the Laurentians, and has some great steep runs and plenty of variety. The skiing is great, and it is COLD with a capital “C.” If you do not want to ski, you can always go dog sledding, or go on a horse drawn sleigh ride.
There is something nice about being in a French speaking area, it does make it seem like you are really “away,” even though it is just across the border, it is like you are in the Alps. The place to stay is the boutique Hotel Quintessence set right on Lake Tremblant. There is also the Fairmount Tremblant at the base of the mountain and is ski-in, ski-out. Very cute village also. Bonjour Quebec.
